Explaining 'big and complicated' with 'small and simple: An exploration of mesoscale material modelling

Scientists can sometimes speak ad nauseam, so inspired by the 3 Minute Thesis competition, we challenged each other to communicate ideas in 3 minutes or less.

CNL Summer co-op exhibition

Since 2016, the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories has held an annual Summer Co-op Exhibition. The site-wide event is an opportunity for our summer co-ops to develop professional skills communicating their projects through concise presentations (flash talks and a poster), and discussion with the laboratory staff.

MMSNF workshop

Canada hosted the 2017 Materials Modelling and Simulations for Nuclear Fuels workshop, for the first time since its inception in 2003. The event brought together world-class researchers in the field of nuclear fuels and materials for a workshop dedicated to stimulating talks and open discussion.
